These are not grants that those operating a day care facility would apply for. Financing for starting up an adult day care center usually comes from a variety of personal, public and private sources. Grants often can be vital in helping cash-strapped ADCs bootstrap their financing needs. Adult Day Health Care is a program Veterans can go to during the day for social activities, peer support, companionship, and recreation. The program is for Veterans who need skilled services, case management and help with activities of daily living. Examples include help with bathing, dressing, fixing meals or taking medicines. Adult Day Care (also called “Adult Day Services”) is critical to helping meet these needs. This program is funded through the Social Services Block Grant.
